The Artist
Darin is a self taught painter and tattoo artist currently based in Laguna Beach California. Tattooing at Vatican Gallery and painting at his private studio. Born in the desert of Arizona where he studied and refined his art in various art forms since early childhood. His art mediums of choice are exclusively oils and charcoal. This led to a strong focus on realism in his black and grey tattoos. The long history of being involved with fine art is most evident in tattoos with sculptures, anything with classical art influence and portraiture. But he loves doing subjects of all types and is always open to collaborating with ideas his clients bring. His tattoo process is very similar to the way he paints on canvas. A refined multistep layering process and combination of freehand elements creates a unique look that has become his signature style.
